Job Description :
he Director of Financial Systems is responsible for coordinating multiple IT projects and activities for Client’s business units. The individual is accountable for overseeing all phases of the project life cycle including business needs assessment, planning, technology assessment, analysis, design, development, deployment of IT solutions. The individual is the primary technical liaison between project teams, business unit management, and system integrators during the project life cycle. Direct responsibility for the Accounts payable, Account Receivable, General Ledger, Asset & Project management and Hyperion reporting. The role requires partnering with business counterparts to identify and deliver systems/applications/reports that that help in enabling process and productivity improvements.
Responsibilities
IT Leadership responsibility of managing the financial processes and applications
Functions as IT liaison with Client’s business executives ,senior management and customers
Manages Business Systems and related project development and support teams, including internal technical resources, external consultants, and contractors
Provides vision, direction and for the financial applications programming group including setting high level priorities, coordinating with business at all levels, and the reporting of group activities.
Responsible for tracking projects, services, related tasks and resources, and meeting required deadline, scope, budget, quality, and other measures of success commitments.
Develops and improves management, technical, and industry acumen of direct and indirect reports.
Identifies, implements and monitors compliance with statements of policies and procedures to assure that proper documentation is maintained and that the required controls are implemented.
Anticipates and resolves project and support services risks and obstacles; recommends solutions.
Participates in developing best practices for systems development or support throughout the department and leads in those areas related to project planning and other metrics.
Develops and delivers presentations to various senior level executives professional peers and communicates with colleagues, management, and client’s business unit(s) on requirements, problems, project status, and issues.
The position requires in depth industry and financial process knowledge and a strong understanding of the applications(ERP) .
Plans and directs the hiring, training and development of personnel; appraises subordinate performance, administers promotions and salary reviews, and applies employee disciplinary measures when required.
Identifies programs to measure benefits, particularly productivity-related, to ensure value is being added consistent with productivity goals.
Defines proactive organizational framework that supports both end-user computing and IT professional computing with proper balance to maximize benefits for the enterprise
Qualifications
Education (Minimum Needed): Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, finance, or related discipline. Education requirements may be satisfied with commensurate experience. Four-year college degree with major in computer science, business administration, or other technical field preferred (may be substituted by appropriate experience Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in full life cycle applications development and technical supervision preferable in the ERP space. Must have 8-10 years of overall experience in finance processes.
Experience (Minimum Needed): 5 plus years of hands on experience with more than one ERP modules ( SAP or Oracle Knowledge in Revenue accounting, billing, credit, billing, collections, Sales Tax. Project management experience with ERP (SAP or Oracle) will be helpful
Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Financial process knowledge - GL, AR, AP, FA and Cash Management.
Special Skills: . Outstanding leadership and team building skills, including strong problem solving, interpersonal, and informal and formal communication skills. Strong organizational, facilitation, and project management skills required. Individual must be very detailed, self-directed, have strong independent problem solving skills, and be able to multi-task. Desire and ability to help internal staff develop new skills and knowledge
Other: Must have experience working closely with C level executives and other senior management.
