Responsible for establishing, maintaining and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances and databases that are required by the SAP AASIS system.

The scope of services will also include problem resolution, analysis and other support services at the discretion of State’s Technical Infrastructure manager.

Roles and Responsibilities
Minimum of seven (7) years of infrastructure experience working with SAP in client environments of similar scope and size.
Experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP Enterprise Portals, SAP Portal on Device (POD), Federated Portal Network (FPN), and SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
Experience with DB2 and AIX and with establishing, maintaining and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances and databases;
Experience leading and facilitating functional / technical workshop sessions
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
Experience developing detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications
Possess strong communication skills both orally and in writing
Be responsible for technical delivery in the areas SAP Basis, Solution Manager, Portal, UI5, Fiori, and Database (DB2, HANA, Sybase);
Be responsible for maintaining multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production);
Be responsible for installing and configuring SAP Fiori Applications; Troubleshoot and upgrade Fiori Apps as required;
Be responsible for designing and implementing optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability;
Be responsible for installing and configuring all required SAP database servers and application servers
Be responsible for installing and configuring SAP web dispatcher, create new rules, maintain permission tables, and routing to backend systems;
Be responsible for maintaining SAP performance by planning and executing SAP tuning strategies;
Be responsible for monitoring all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space);
Be responsible for the administration of the SAP database with Database Administrator (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database problem determination and resolution);
Be responsible for leading the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades;
Be responsible for applying and migrating SAP maintenance (support packages, enhancement packs, kernel upgrades) through all systems;
Be responsible for developing and maintaining system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces (includes Technical Design and Application information documents);
Be responsible for knowledge transfer and skill growth to the State staff;
Knowledge of complex computer database systems development and implementation. Knowledge of SAP related applications and analysis of data processing programs and equipment;
Ability to diagnose and evaluate system failures and determine effectiveness of SAP & database systems;
Executing daily operational activities related to the SAP Environment including object transports, setup/configuration, operational SAP monitoring, troubleshooting and error handling, performance/tuning and problem determination/resolution;
