DCS Network Engineer

To design, troubleshoot, implement, upgrade, support, and maintain IP network systems. The position will provide technical expertise, execute field deployments, and perform the commissioning of network systems on time and within budget, with minimal rework.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Technical:
· Work with network systems used for CBTC, fare gate, passenger information, and SCADA applications;
· Troubleshoot and investigate various complex network issues in-house and on site;
· Verify and validate communication network design, by performing engineering and site acceptance testing;
· Create communication network configurations, which includes wired network, wireless network, and IT components;
· Prepare and participate in design reviews and discussions with internal and external parties;
· Participate in development of a communication network design for wired, wireless and IT areas, that also satisfies various cost, schedule, deployment, logistics and other non-technical constraints;
· Participate in analysis of a communication network design from various perspectives, such as reliability, security, scalability, maintainability, deployment and more;
· Apply various engineering processes to specific scenarios during the development and deployment of communication network designs;
· Support and participate in development of technical interfaces to other groups within the company;
· Specify and maintain hardware lists to support communication network designs, dealing with various related issues, such as End-of-Life replacement, installation, qualification, etc.;
