Job description:
The DBI Solution Architect is a skilled professional who understands both technical and functional design and brings perspective from all architecture domains (process, application, data, technology and security) into the solution design in support of the business and functional portfolio capabilities. This position ensures solutions developed are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet the financial targets (cost and benefits This position is accountable for solution evaluation and early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years of Business Intelligence architecture, development and/or management experience
Experience in Unix or Linux environments (e.g., ssh and standard commands)
Good understanding of the Hadoop architecture and ecosystem
Experience working with the Cloudera distribution of Hadoop
Experience with Sqoop, Streamsets and Kafka
Experience with Spark, Hive, Impala.
Experience working with front end visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Business Objects.
Experience with SQL languages
Proficiency in data modeling concepts
