Role: DB2 Database Administrator
Work Location & Reporting Address: Cranston, RI 2920
Contract duration: 24 Months
Minimum years of experience: 6-7 yrs
Qualifications Basic:
Bachelor''s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education At least 5 to 6 years of experience with Information Technology.
Preferred:
At least 5 years of experience in supporting DB2 database administration.
Well versed in administering DB2 instances, subsystems and Administration Servers for various DB2 version 11.1, DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows 10.5.0, 10.5.0.4 and 10.1.0.
Monitoring database through DB2 tools.
Must have good troubleshooting skills
Perform Query tuning
Provide Technical Leadership to DB2 team across both Onsite and Offshore.
Perform database and OS performance tuning and monitoring
Good knowledge on multiple operating system Perform general technical troubleshooting and give recommendation to application team
Ability to review AWR and recommend suggestion accordingly
Exposure to Release/Change management Experience on creating IBM PMR and working with them to resolve issues.
Experience on Incident, Problem and Change managements (Tools as ITSM ,PACS)
Excellent Analytical and Communication skills Planning and Co-ordination skills
