The DB Architect – Sr. Oracle Applications DBA contributes to the overall product architecture strategy through analysis, design and creation for the enterprise applications (ERP / environment The role performs detailed analysis of business processes to define Architecture requirements and has senior-level technical responsibility for overseeing the design, development, implementation and maintenance of databases and applications. The role works closely with a global team and participates in customer discussions on regular basis.
Responsibilities:
· Design highly complex, reliable, and scalable database architecture to meet the product needs for different market segments including Enterprise
· Participate in the identification, prioritization, and development of technical initiatives and strategies
· Work as part of core architecture group to define scalable architecture for next generation products
· Analyze business requirements for database design, and implement changes to database as necessary
· Design and architect the centralized databases to enhance the efficiency and optimize the workflow
· Lead the effort on application performance
· Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database
· Perform system analysis on database, and resolve performance, capacity, and replication issues as necessary
· Provide training to the team members in database concepts and performance
Minimum Requirements:
· 10+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in the design, development and maintenance of enterprise level systems such as Oracle EBS (11i/R12), On-prem/cloud Oracle Applications (Agile, ASCP, ERP, GTM, Quality, MES and others), Oracle RDBMS 10g and higher and/or other Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL and others
· Extensive hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise level database and software architecture design, development and maintenance including rapid prototyping and complete product development cycle.
· Experience defining and enabling Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) required.
· Experience in systems/databases/tech-stack/applications performance tuning and publishing product benchmarks.
· Knowledge of core architectural principles such as modularity, restorability, parallelization and table driven business rules.
· Knowledge of information delivery architecture including creation of abstraction layers, SQL query paths and optimization, report level calculations and end user reporting architecture.
· Working knowledge of latest database technologies.
· Demonstrated Project Management expertise in a matrix environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline.
