Job Description :
Role: Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Rosemead, CA.
Duration: 12+ Months


Cyber security engineer will gather technical and procedural information, deploys necessary tools to test and validate IT infrastructure, identifies vulnerabilities, analyzes information derived from engagements to determine information security risks and provides remediation assistance. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate experience in working with regulatory laws and compliance mandates including NERC and CPUC regulations.

Responsibilities:
Works to ensure compliance with regulatory laws and compliance mandates including NERC and CPUC regulations/policies
Responsible for providing leadership and direction to Client’s Compliance team member(s)
Collaborates with Client’s management team to ensure departmental support and full understanding of compliance responsibilities and risks
Report to director and/or senior executive level on strategic plans, issue reporting, and compliance activities
Manage compliance risk with oversight for monitoring, reporting, and development of mitigation plans
Conducts host and network based forensics, log analysis and malware triage in support of incident response investigations
Monitors logs, network packets, security appliances, system/network protocols for threat analysis and vulnerabilities.
Works to ensure the stability of security systems/appliances are functional and improved upon for pro-active cyber defense
Architecting and design of security solutions for client environments.
Contribute to strategic research roadmaps for the development and transition of new security technologies to existing platforms
Develop policies, standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to the cyber security practice

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant technical field and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years Hands on Cyber Security Experience
Experience in working with regulatory laws and compliance mandates including NERC and CPUC regulations
Experience with network architecture, including network security.
Experience with policies and implementation
Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis and network/security applications.
Must be Certified Information Systems Security Professional certified (CISSP)
Must be System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certified
