Job Description :

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Customer Service Supervisor is the liaison between Union Packaging and its customers and their distribution centers. S/he acts as the main contact person for day-to-day communications, including: order processing, shipment scheduling, seasonal/promotional coordination, and inventory status requests. In a supporting role to Production, the Customer Service and Process Control Analyst maintains the Master Production Schedule and assists Production in scheduling printing and forming requirements, based on customer demand. As the primary customer contact, s/he also assists in responding to new customer RFQs, collaborating with Accounting and Production to generate quotes.


Four year degree or 7 to 10 years of related experience.


Customer Service
1. Processes orders (by phone, fax, email, etc from customers and/or sales personnel. Verifies items, quantities, prices and delivery dates and enters orders into Amtech Imaginera system. Sends customer confirmations.
2. Responds to routine customer inquiries.
3. Facilitates communication between UP and our customers through regular conference calls or emails. Distributes minutes of conference calls to document action plans and avoid misunderstandings.
4. Schedules and maintains weekly appointment sheet for shipping and receiving.
5. Provides inventory reports to customers, as requested.
6. Monitors customer promotions for inventory purposes, and keeps customers advised on inventory levels as appropriate.
7. Organizes and files customer orders for later reference.
8. Distributes and analyzes Customer Satisfaction Reports.
9. Maintains Customer Profile and Price List in the Amtech/Imaginera System
10. Acts as main contact for new customer RFQs and works with Production and Accounting to generate and submit quotes to customers.

Production Support
1. Collaborates with Production to update shortage reports with current inventory, orders, and production numbers in preparation for M-W-F production meetings
2. Solicits information from customers (scheduled promotions, weather impact, etc) to assist in forecasting and provides input on customer trends. Works closely with the customers’ promotion planning department and UP Production to coordinate production of promotional printing.
3. Alerts Production on phasing in and phasing out of product.
4. Works closely with Production to assure all obsolete products have been sold or properly disposed of and all new items are implemented as customer requires.
5. Attends all Production Meetings.
6. Maintains 90-day Master Production Schedule.
