Design, develop and modify modules based on functional and system requirements
Work closely with Product Owner to understand the functional and system requirements
Contribute ideas for process improvement, including coding practices, standards and tools
Be an active member of an Agile team including sprint planning, story estimation, sprint retrospectives
Aid in the continued stability and enhancement of the production systems by being able to quickly identify areas for improvement and execute on them
Ensure the quality of newly developed code via best practices like unit testing and proper design patterns
Monitor and optimize systems to ensure best performance.
Document code appropriately for maintainability.
Communicate with product owners and business analysts to gather accurate specifications for new enhancements and applications.
Assist with work estimating based on requirements and technical designs.
Translate requirements and use cases into technical designs and functional code.
Act as a mentor to other junior developers with programming issues.
Perform design and code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance and application responsiveness.
Provide feedback during design and code peer reviews
Engage in continuous self-improvement of technical and communication skills
Demonstrate excellent time management skills to balance different responsibilities and priorities to help ensure the timely completion of deliverables
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
5+ year of practical C# / .Net, MVC programming work experience
Web Services (REST, SOAP)
Solid understanding of OOP/OOD Principles
Solid understanding of relational database management system (RDBMS)
Strong knowledge of .Net web framework
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming
Experience using T-SQL with an ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures.
Exhibit excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.
Other valuable skills:
Basic Design Patterns (Repository Pattern, Singleton, UnitOfWork Pattern, Dependency Injection)
Familiar with the SOLID principles
NET
WebAPI, WCF
Microservices Architecture
Familiar with Caching systems
Client-side scripting experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular and jQuery a plus.
