Corporate Security Advisor - On behalf of our client in the Oil and Gas sector Procom Services is looking for one Corporate Security Advisor to provide in-depth security and risk analysis in support of the overall Corporate Security program. The Corporate Security Advisor will provide advice, investigative services and security management expertise to various internal clients. A significant level of response and service including on-call duties is expected.


Corporate Security Advisor Job Details

Knowledge and understanding of the following areas within Security Management:
o Policy, Procedure and Standard Development.
o Security Vulnerability Assessments, Security Reviews/Surveys and Risk Assessments.
o Physical Security of Facilities and Assets.
o Personnel Security, Personal Protection, Training and Awareness.
o Incident and Emergency response.
Development of policies, procedures and standards to mitigate risk;
Gather and analyze information from various sources to assess security threats and determine risk profiles;
o This includes establishing and maintaining a security network within each Line of Business and externally with industry/non industry colleagues, Law Enforcement and government and intelligence agencies;
Represent the company in various security management associations, industry groups and trade associations.
Manage security conformance under the Corporate Security program, policies, procedures and standards.
Manage security compliance under the Marine Transportation Security Act and Regulations (MTSA), NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC - CIP) Standards, Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS); Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC), Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (DHS TSA) Pipeline Security Guidelines, and other relevant standards or regulations in the United States.
This includes developing and reviewing security plans to ensure compliance with various regulations or guidelines;
Develop security vulnerability assessment (SVA) methodologies and conduct SVA s, security reviews or risk assessments involving business facilities, operational facilities, and other assets.
This includes, identifying potential security threats, developing risk profiles and recommending/implementing cost effective security measures to mitigate security risk.
Ability to communicate recommendations to personnel within all Lines of Business including Senior Leadership.
Development of Facility or Physical Security Plans for existing facilities and new projects.
Conduct security reviews or risk assessments for company events, personnel, and others as required. Subsequently, develop and implement the required security plans and measures.
o This includes protection plans for senior leaders, personnel, customers, contractors and the general public.
Design and implement risk mitigation and physical security solutions including barriers, video surveillance and access control for existing facilities, new projects and personnel.
o This includes technical knowledge with respect to physical security design.
Develop and deliver security training and security awareness presentations to company employees and contractors.
Assist with International Travel security and journey management.
Ability to directly and indirectly supervise security contractors including security guards, consultants and advisors.
Ability to conduct internal and incident investigations into potential criminal activity or malicious acts directly and assist Human Resources, Internal Audit with same, as required.
Assist with emergency, business continuity and crisis management responses when required and provide security recommendations;
Ability to travel 25% to 35% of year and valid passport.
Corporate Security Advisor Mandatory Skills
University degree in a related discipline or work experience equivalency in a related discipline is required;
Minimum of 10 year s corporate security experience within a diverse organization or law enforcement/ intelligence experience is required.
A strong understanding of physical security applications is required.
Experience guiding diverse teams of employees, contractors, vendors and external stakeholders.
Advanced knowledge of regulations relevant to corporate security and the oil and gas, energy and power industries.
Advanced knowledge of applicable standards, guidelines and industry best practices relating to corporate security and the oil and gas, energy and power industries.
Subject Matter Expertise (SME) relating to policy, procedures, standards, regulatory requirements, governance, physical security technology, design and implementation, personal protection, security vulnerability assessments, investigations and emergency management.
Subject Matter Expertise in the areas of developing security control centers and cyber security preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills (communicating, conflict resolution, influencing, decision making, facilitating, listening, mentoring), with the ability to develop relationships across diverse groups and present information and material related to corporate security issues to employee groups.
Excellent analytical skills, ability to interpret data and events, provide evaluation of impact and mitigation.
Experience with major projects and field deployments.
Advanced knowledge of the law in civil and criminal jurisdiction, ability to conduct thorough investigations into security related issues.
Ability to work independently, balance multiple priorities and play an integral role within diverse teams and groups.
A high degree of personal integrity and trust necessary to perform confidential assignments and investigations.
Corporate Security Advisor Preferred Skills
Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation from ASIS International.
Board Certified in Security Management - Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS.
