GENERAL SUMMARY
Works side-by-side with technical content editors and illustrators, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to create technical content for Clients products and solutions.
Researches, retrieves, organizes, analyzes, and synthesizes complex subject matter into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand information deliverables.
Adheres to Client’s brand, information, and writing standards to publish content for many different audiences in multiple formats.
Understands how Clients''s technologies work and add value to Clients customers.
Employs various authoring and desktop publishing software tools to publish deliverables to multichannel platforms.
Analyzes user information and user experience (UX) requirements.
Uses feedback to propose improvements to product development and support services.
Responsible for executing project plans and delivering accurate and timely technical information.
May be responsible for developing project plans and schedules.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates and revises technical information, including installation, operation and maintenance instructions, and other types of technical content such as video scripts, blog posts, flowcharts, technical advisories, and release notes.
Works with editors, incorporating editorial feedback to ensure that Dell EMC style and standards are appropriately expressed in technical content and media
Publishes content to a variety of outputs, including PDF documents, web pages, blog articles, wikis, videos, and online help systems.
May participate in social media discussions related to technical content and information experience.
Uses content authoring, publishing, and source control tools.
Leverages a variety of information sources including: bug comments, whiteboard discussions, community forums, knowledge transfer, third-party website and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) content.
Participates in content development planning, coordinates, and executes content development plans under general direction.
Exerts sphere of influence outside the immediate work group or department. Represents the organization on project teams and may perform technical project leadership roles while fostering collaboration within and across work groups.
Implements information design and delivery strategy, and recommends process improvements.
Operates proactively, may seek customer input and take responsibility for internal and external customer situations.
Understands prevalent software development methodologies.
Contributes to content plans that include user stories. Evaluates technical content against user information requirements.
Supports localization activities.
Acts as a customer advocate in UI development activities and provides verbiage based on customer workflows and use cases.
Understanding of technical content authoring and UX workflows.
Knowledge of industry standards such as DITA, XML, and HTML.
Knowledge of job-related content authoring, publishing, and graphic design tools, such as SDL LiveContent or Knowledge Center, XMetaL, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Visio.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, highly desirable.
