Job Title: Construction/Utility Project Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 1+year

Job Description:

Project Management Group, focused on Construction projects. Transmission & Substation, Gas & Electric Distribution, and Gas Transmission projects.
Transmission: Overhead lines
Substation: Brand new city & county substations. Also rebuild or modifications
G&E: Upgrades and reliability improvements
Gas Transmission: Replacing legacy pipelines

Project Scope & Responsibilities

Manage transmission, substation, and distribution projects consisting of cross-functional teams involving multiple engineering disciplines and multiple construction areas including contract resources.
Responsible for managing the scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance of multiple construction projects and programs, as well as reforecasting as the project moves along.
Leads project teams through business case / capital approval process, development and execution of project plans and project closeout.
These projects have budgets that will typically range from $250K to $10M. Most projects are in the $5-10M range.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (ideally a minimum 10 years project management experience)
Construction and/or utility project management experience
Solid contract management skills
Good financial skills
Experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgets
Experience with full life-cycle project management, from charter to project closeout
Ability to build a complex project schedule

Preferred Skills

Utility project experience (Transmission, Substation, Distribution)
PMP certification
Experience with Primavera
Experience with Asset Suite 8
