Configuration and Release Engineer
Location: Detroit MI
Duration: 7 months with possible extension

Entity: Tessellate

Engagement Description:
This position will be for staff augmentation for our configuration release engineering team. It will be responsible for system monitoring, process optimization with the focus on production deployment related activities.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:
- 7 or more years of relevant experiences in configuration management, production deployment and system monitoring.
- Past working experience with source control repositories such as TFS, Git or Bitbucket as well as deployment tool such as Hudson, Jenkins, Bamboo, Cruise control, Team city etc.
- Strong batch scripting background such as PowerShell, Perl, bash.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Established understanding with SDLC processes and prior experience working with developers closely.
- Understanding of software release metrics and process controls and enforce their implementation within the team.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task planning, assignment, implementation and pushing to completion.
- Demonstrated effective analysis and troubleshooting skills to dive deep into server/network related issues. Ability to exchange factual and technical information clearly and concisely with managers, technicians, and similar individuals.
- Advanced experience with Git, and GitFlow. Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively when under stress. Self-starter and highly motivated, and ability to handle multiple priorities, establishes workflow, and meets necessary deadlines.
- Strong background in continuous integration, deployment tools.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with WCF/Web API, Service Stack; Experiences with Azure / AWS; DotNetNuke Site Administration; RabbitMQ / MSMQ Administration; Redis Administration; Windows Server Administration;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Experience with ASP.NET(C, .NET 4.0

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
