We have an urgent requirement for Computer Programmer (senior)with our direct client
Position: Computer Programmer (senior)
Duration: 5 months
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Requirement:-
Provide IT system, hardware and software support and maintenance for COM IT existing legacy systems.
Perform break fix of identified IT issues.
Provide support, management and installation services for desktop and server operating systems.
Work in cooperation with the current contractors as well as other COM staff.
Troubleshoot tickets escalated from the helpdesk regarding network issues.
Develop software using mainframe tools.
Troubleshoot existing code using standard practices
Participate in regular team planning meeting to receive tasking and provide status.
Participate in monthly status meetings to include providing a monthly status.
Provide ongoing system, applications maintenance and troubleshooting.
Analyze and document complex system requirements.
Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation.
Interpret software requirements, design specifications to code, manage software development and support (using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and tools), integrate and test software components.
Estimate software development costs and schedules.
Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, performance improvements, and improving current techniques.
Estimate and track software quality attributes.
Duties:-
Must be capable of utilizing third- and fourth-generation or current state-of-the-art IT equipment and languages to develop and prepare diagrammatic plans for solution of business, management, communications, and strategic problems.
Must be able to design detailed programs, flowcharts, and diagrams showing mathematical computations and sequence of machine operations necessary to copy and process data and print results.
Must be able to verify the accuracy and completeness of programs and systems by preparing sample representative data and perform testing by means of cycle and system processing.
Education:-
A Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
A Master''s Degree is preferred.
General Experience:-
Must have eight (8) years of programming experience in software development or maintenance.
Specialized Experience:-
At least five (5) years of experience in IT systems analysis and programming.
