Job Description:
5+ years finance industry experience as COGNOS Business Intelligence Developer required.
Expert in COGNOS Business Intelligence administration and development including Framework Manger, COGNOS Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, and Event Studio.
Thorough understanding of relational database concepts, Dimensional Modeling.
Data analysis and business intelligence skills - proficiency with SQL queries
Experience developing KPIs, executive dashboards, scorecards (financial and non-financial metrics), and reporting (from relational, dimensional, and OLAP data sources
Ability to provide COGNOS and data-related functional support, oversight of report performance, on-call troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Self-driven to gathering Requirements, design sessions, co-development efforts during development, coordination with QA/UAT during testing and acceptance phase.
Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time appropriately
Self-motivator with great attention to detail and follow-through
Experience with different levels of documentation – Requirements, Solution Design and Implementation documentation
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Familiarity with the SDLC, release management and testing
Ability to travel up to 15%
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Knowledge of the Financial Services industry.
COGNOS training classes and certifications.
