Firmware Engineer

Ability to document code functionality and produce demonstration code with accompanying written descriptions is definitely required.
Some knowledge of wireless protocols, mesh networks, and development of communications oriented firmware stacks required, preferably with specific project experience related to successful product launches.
Knowledge and interest in constrained real-time operating system principles a strong plus, especially combined with real-time system development experience.
Experience in code optimization and packaging for multiple processor platform release desired.
Knowledge of MSP430 processor family and CC11xx radio transceiver family a strong plus.
Knowledge of IAR integrated development tools preferred.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the full software development lifecycle, with some engineering and business analysis experience a plus.
Good problem solving skills Non manager Reports to Engineering Manager or Director.
Day to day guidance from Senior Level electronic engineers Focused on delivering excellent results and meeting deadlines.
Quality of workmanship Ability to self-manage in a fluid work environment. Good team-based work orientation with excellent communication skills.

Bachelor's degree (or better) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited 4-year college or university.
3-5 years’ experience in C/C++ coding.
Minimal travel required
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 9-12 months.
The position will support development of the electronics hardware and system integration for the One Tech Test initiative.
Write and test firmware for constrained wireless network based devices.
Work as part of a team to design firmware modules and platforms to support multiple products.
Assist software quality assurance team members in creating and evaluating firmware testing plans. Assist software platform architects and other developers and technical writers in creating firmware platform documentation
