Oracle Database Developer with AWS- Locals to IL, WI only - GCH/ USC
Schaumburg, IL
6+ Months to CTH

Minimum 5 years’ experience in database development and architecture for Oracle, PostgreSQL are required Amazon Redshift, and other Cloud-based Database Technologies are desired
- Design (Modify existing Data Base) develop and implement stable, reliable and effective data solutions based on customer requirements, collaborating with off-shore developers and on-site architects
- Prepare design specifications and other technical documentation for assigned database projects
- Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers
- Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
- Optimize and maintain existing database jobs and database systems
- Collaborate with off-shore developers and on-site architects to improve applications and establish best practices
- Provide data management support to users
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
- Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in software engineering or development
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a software development life cycle methodology (e.g. Agile)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Requirements, Design, Coding, Unit/Integration Test life cycle - phases
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills in a cross-functional team (ex. business, UX/UI, and full-stack developers) to create optimal solutions

Defines, designs, and builds relational and/or multi-dimensional databases for warehousing of data.
Confers with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases.
Reviews current data structures and recommends optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted.
Generates data acquisition and archive recovery strategies. Works with Database Administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into test and production environments.
Integrates new data with existing warehouse structure and continuously improves system functionality.
Evaluates and recommends new tools and methodologies.
Consults with vendors to integrate selected packages. Deletes old data.
Develops and maintains all standards in accordance with data structures and models.
May work with organization departments to design and develop data marts.
