Job Description :
Responsible for validation of the quality, performance, resiliency, and security of our cloud-based services, which enable customer experiences across our devices (speakers, headsets, and home theatre), mobile applications, and cloud partners such as music services, voice personal assistants, and integrators. Duties include designing test strategies and frameworks for automation, and test planning, implementation, execution, and reporting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Cloud Operations QA Engineer will have significant automation test experience in large-scale distributed systems, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to partner with product development teams, system architects, and stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities for this job include:
Experience developing or testing cloud-based microservices AWS, Azure, or similar platforms
API Testing(not UI), in large-scale distributed systems
Python coding capabilities vs. scripting experience
Design and develop automation frameworks and test suites to test the cloud platform and services
Develop test automation across many perspectives: functional correctness, code quality, large-scale loading, transaction rate, chaos, security, business continuity
Hands-on involvement in all phases of product development, including planning, design, implementation, and execution of automated tests, defect logging and verification, and reporting results
Participate in problem diagnosis, triage and prioritization, qualification of fixes, and root cause analysis
Implement, track, and report key metrics to assure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
This is a DevOps environment
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
In addition to these skills, the successful person will be experienced with having worked in a PRODUCTION environment NOT POS. This is 100% API testing so they must have at LEAST 70% API testing vs UI.building workflows. This is for the DevOps team so DevOps background is a huge plus. We are not looking for developers who are willing to test. We are looking for testers who know how to code.
