Cloud Engineer (Python & Micro services) Westborough, MA ?Full Time/ Contract

Job Description:
Develop micro services on cloud to onboard new 3rd party services. ?
Design and develop REST APIs to expand functionality. ?
Work with platform architects on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential ?performance bottlenecks. ?
Create productivity tools for third-party developers to self-service their own integrated solutions. ?
Work with other software leads on developing production automation and unit test automation. ?
Stay up to date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups and understand trends, opportunities that ?ensure we are using the best techniques and tools. ?
Document the work you do, especially APIs that you create. ?Qualifications (demonstrated Competence): ?
Expert knowledge of cloud coding languages such as Python. ?
Experience with cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services preferred ?
Experience with API design/documentation tools such as RAML and Swagger/OpenAPI. ?
Hands on experience using and developing REST APIs. ?
Cloud-based distributed application scaling & data processing in the cloud. ?
Agile software development methodology. ?Highly Desirable but not required skills include: ?
Knowledge of automation tools such as Jenkins. ?
Experience with Docker. ?
Experience with Apigee or AWS API Gateway. ?
Embedded/Cloud IoT application development a plus. ?Experience: ?
5 or more years working in software development. ?
2+ years developing, deploying and maintaining production web applications and/ or web API services. ?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. ?
Master’s degree desired.
