Cloud Applications Software Design Engineer of Test
Description
Our south Seattle area client is looking to hire a full-time mid to senior level Cloud Applications SDET. Using C#, and other tools, you would create extendable automation to test Web, PC, and their interdependent middleware & Azure cloud services for cutting edge applications. Your success as a SDET will manifest itself in seeing your work enabling quicker and smarter test cycles over time as well as delivering more stable products to real customers. QA personnel are first class citizens where you will find your opinion is sought at all stages and your ideas can make a difference.

As an SDET you will be responsible for owning your projects, thinking globally across similar projects, creating production-level automated test suite code, and collaborating with all team members to ship applications. The ideal candidate will be a passionate software tester who strives to write a comprehensive well-documented test suite code, all while dreaming up new ways of breaking the software. As a mid to senior level SDET, our client will expect you to have already garnered a proven understanding of automating Web/PC and cloud service interactions.
Key Requirements
4+ years of software testing experience
B.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited university
Passionate about software testing with the key ability to think critically to identify software breaking issues
Strong experience with C#
Experience with UI automation
Tested and released at least one Web and/or PC with cloud services interactions product to market
Proven ownership of test projects, designing test approaches, documenting and regressing bugs, and executing test passes
Willingness to work a team and can work in a fluid, highly collaborative environment
Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills
Experience with RESTful web services is strongly desired
Experience with Jenkins Continuous Integration a plus
JIRA or similar issue tracking software a plus
TestRail or similar test case tracking software a plus
Experience with Microsoft Azure platform a plus
Agile team experience a plus
Passion for some mathematics a plus
Time-estimation skills for setting management expectations are strongly desired
Strongly desired that candidate can demonstrate a passion for software Quality Assurance and testing automation with real-world project citations
