Clarivate Analytics is undergoing exciting changes as we separate from our former parent company, Thomson Reuters. To assist with our business system transformation, we are looking for a Financial System Manager to help lead the effort of implementing and supporting a brand new eco-system of cloud-based business applications. As a part of IT team, this individual will be the techno-functional liaison between the finance teams and technology, as well as the administrator of key financial systems, such as NetSuite and Adaptive. S/he will help complete the testing and implementation of the new finance systems slated for this year and transition into the role that supports and facilitates enhancements of these systems.

The Finance Systems Manager will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into system solutions, and ensure they are in line with all business rules, policies, procedures, and controls. This position will also use knowledge of business processes, analytical, and project management skills in a dynamic environment to drive the creation of short and long-term strategic plans, new system implementations, and overall support for the financial systems. Additionally, the position will have the responsibility of overseeing requirement processes, project planning, system setup, testing, training and roll-out of the various financial systems. This position will have exposure to a balanced view of accounting, finance, financial system infrastructure and the strategy surrounding it all.

This role will be responsible for high customer interface to build quality working relationships within the organization to manage Financial Planning, Core Financials, and Reporting.
Major Areas of Accountability:

Establish and support master data operations, including ownership of the master data administration process for the financial elements within system data framework
Establish new master data elements in ERP and coordinate the initial population of those fields across the Company’s global operation
Monitor and ensure that the Company’s master data business rules, policies and procedures are adhered to by the Segments across all ledgers and the consolidation system
Update and maintain finance master ensuring all parameters are accurate and maintained timely including foreign currency tables
Support all system releases, enhancements and system modifications
Support new system implementation and delivery
Ensure financial systems and financial data supports the needs of the business as we transition to stand-alone company
Coordinate with IT to improve and enhance ERP functionality
Contribute as needed across the enterprise during resolution of operational issues and global process improvements
Develop, update and maintain departmental procedures and metrics
Responsible for system maintenance, testing, data quality/conversions and change management as required
Work with key stakeholders to develop short-term and long-term strategic roadmap for financial systems
Manage new system implementation and support for various Financial systems.
Manage implementation of a new process or system solutions by preparing test scripts for UAT to ensure solutions are working as designed and that the appropriate knowledge transfer has taken place.
Gather key requirements of the process stakeholders. Consider the end-to-end process and other groups that may be impacted by any proposed change, both up and downstream
Align systems strategy to our stakeholders’ functions and objectives. Understand how stakeholders use the systems and help drive stakeholders towards system optimization
The key person managing our project/enhancement requests with technology partners
Become an SME across all Financial Systems
Support special projects

Qualifications

Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems or other business related field
7+ years’ experience in financial systems management and accounting operations support roles
Prior experience as a NetSuite administrator or superuser
Self-starter, highly motivated, and engaged.
Able to work independently or as part of a project team
Prior experience with cross-functional communication and cooperation, prefer global experience
Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with all levels, from frontline staff to senior leaders
Demonstrated multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Acts with a sense of urgency, decisive & results driven
Strong organizational/project management skills
Relationship management skills and cross-business collaborative approach
