Job Description:
GSU IIT is looking for an experienced Cisco voice engineer to help with the implementation of a new Cisco Collaboration solution. The project will include the consolidation of phone systems and a migration off of the Avaya platform onto a single Cisco Unified Communication platform. This is an on-site dedicated position that will work closely with GSU''s networking and telecom team to complete the project.

Project overview:
GSU currently has two disparate Cisco phone systems and an Avaya phone system. This project will be to consolidate the systems into a single unified Cisco platform. The system will support all of Georgia State University, which includes the main Atlanta campus and 9 remote sites.

This position is expected to serve as the technical lead of this project. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Lead the systems design, architecture and deployment of the system consolidation. This includes but not limited to configuration of the Cisco Call Manager, Contact Center, Emergency Responder, Unified Attendant Console, Cisco Unity Connection VM and Cisco Expressway modules.
Collect relevant data from all pertinent systems and stakeholders to be used as part of the conversion/migration
Configure SIP trunks and establish SIP trunk security profiles in the system
Configure dialplan covering endpoint addressing, numbering plan, dialing habits, routing and classes of service
Testing and validation of the system
Assist with cutovers associated with the deployment
Participate in project meetings
System documentation and handoff
Configure SRST for call processing survivability at remote sites
Synchronize the corporate LDAP directory to Unified CM

Skills required:

Ability to design and support Cisco CM, Unity, E911, CUE and UCCX deployments
Experience in the design, installation and configuration of large scale voice communications hardware and software
Experience in the design and configuration of large-scale (10,000 node plus) voice networking infrastructures
Prior experience in deploying large multi-site Cisco solutions and Avaya migrations
Expert level of experience with networking protocols including: TCP/IP, QSIG, SIP, H323, MGCP and SCCP voice networking topologies
Expert level of VLAN''s Security (Firewalls) MPLS and QOS
Experience working in a VMware virtual environment
Experience in SIP integration solutions
Experience configuring voice gateways that include dial peers, SRST, SIP, H323 and MGCP protocols.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong ability to troubleshoot complex telephony environments.
Experience creating as-built and system documentation
CCNP certification required, CCIE Voice certification preferred
