JOB DESCRIPTION

Federate Systems is looking for a Senior Cisco Unified Communications Engineer to support one of our federal clients.

Cisco UCM system administration and maintenance activities and tasks with the responsibility for evaluation and architecture of all aspects of Unified communication. This includes Standard SIP based IP voice. Management of user accounts, voice mail, call queues, primary rate interfaces (PRI), fax lines, and office mailboxes.

JOB RESPONSIBILIIES:

System-wide management, maintenance, and improvements
VR call flow scripting and management , automatic call distribution (ACD) management, and business application integration
Network traffic monitoring and testing
Responsible for creating detailed architecture designs for next generation voice technologies and creating engineering guidelines for enhancements based on current production deployments.
Programming / Troubleshooting for Cisco Unified Communications product portfolio, Avaya (S87XX/83XX/85XX class media servers and gateways running Avaya Communications Manager R6.x; Session Manager, system manager, IVRs and Microsoft Lync or equivalent. Experience with ACME packet SBC in a carrier voice offering is required.
All support for VoIP incident/problem management service desk support
Device management including Internet Protocol (IP) phones, analog adaptors supporting fax machines or other analog equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Cisco CCNP Voice or higher certification preferred, or other applicable Cisco certifications/experience
Minimum 5 years of related engineering and support experience in UC, VoIP, video conferencing, and telecom services
Experience in telecommunications disaster recovery, strategic planning, and execution

The Ideal Candidate will possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related discipline.
Certification in at least ITIL v3 Foundations certification is required
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred
Knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, PMBOK, Configuration Management, Release Management, and Change Management
Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio)
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
