Required Skills:
84+ months experience with planning, designing, configuring and implementing enterprise networks (Wide Area and Data Center) using technology products such as such Cisco ASR, Cisco 9k/7k/5k, Cisco ACI, or VMware NSX.
84+ months experience in planning, designing, configuring and implementing Next-Generation firewalls, web and content filtering solutions using technology products such as FortiGate, Zscaler, Cisco FirePower, and Cisco Meraki.
84+ months’ experience collaborating with network architects and engineers to create enterprise networks and address supports issues such as routing protocols, data center performance, high-availability and scalability.
84+ months’ experience in working with IP networking and protocols (IPV4, IPV6, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EGRP
Candidate possess an active CCIE certification.
Candidate possess an active CCNP or CCDP certifications.

Project or Program Name: Internet and Data Center Technologies

Description:
The Internet and Data Center Technologies group leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive Internet service delivery strategy for the students, teachers, and administrative staff of the New York City Department of Education. The E-rate Modernization Order recommends for “Internet access for schools of at least 100 Mbps per 1,000 students and staff (users) in the short term and 1 Gbps Internet access per 1,000 users in the longer term.” In order to adopt the recommendation, a robust filtering solution will need to be developed to replace the existing technologies

Responsibilities:
Design and architect forward and reverse web proxy solutions.
Design and architect enterprise data center network solutions.
Design and implement enterprise solutions involving NGFW technologies.
Implement content filtering and web proxy solutions.
Provide operational support of the content filtering and web proxy environment.
Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution.
Perform system maintenance and maintain current documentation.
Create specifications and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot medium to complex issues.
Lifecycle management – code upgrades, vulnerability patching and EOL replacement programs.
Analyze network packets with packet analysis tools like Wireshark, Opnet, etc.
Monitor network performance using monitoring tools (Syslog, Splunk, Tivoli ITM, Cisco CMCS, Netscout
