Job Description:
Upgrade network components to support Meraki Wireless installations at OMH Psychiatric Centers and associated clinics
Consultant will serve as a high-level network engineer and is responsible for understanding the needs of NYS Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) customers and providing technical solutions while conforming to ITS’s policies and standards. Consultant performs advanced design and configuration on agency network equipment including Cisco, Juniper, and Avaya. Will be responsible for the design and implementation of complex customer solutions. Provides assistance with troubleshooting and performs break/fix activities on Cisco and Juniper network equipment.
Required Skills and experience:
Associates Degree
Experience with design, implementation, and support of Juniper/Net screen Firewalls
Experience with design, implementation, and support of Cisco routing and switching.
Experience with design, implementation, and support of LAN/ WAN technologies.
Experience with support of routing protocols
Experience designing end to end solutions which can traverse multiple paths and data centers
Experience with design, implementation, and support of VOIP technologies
Experience with MPLS
Experience using syslog for troubleshooting network issues
Experience with support of Cisco Wireless solutions
