Support/administer Cherwell. Experience with Service Now is a good alternative
General system administration experience, understand interoperability of an application with other servers, database and the network
Work with 3rdparty vendors to ensure updates and changes to application - Administer application configuration, security, licensing and renewals
Description:
Supports various business applications across multiple disciplines by analyzing and resolving issues, evaluating requests, coordinating between users, other IT functions, and vendors. After power users and helpdesk, is the next line of support, and is expected to provide detailed expertise in the specific applications assigned. Will be involved in patch evaluation, vendor provided fixes, minor and major upgrades, and implementations. Also responsible for administration of the Cherwell help ticket and change control system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the end users for the Accounting and Land business applications, including training, resolving issues, recommending and implementing solutions. Administer application configuration, security, licensing and renewals. Administer tools supporting the application. Administer the Cherwell change control and help desk ticket system. Co-ordinate changes through the change control process, including testing & obtaining signoff from business and IT approvers, and monitoring implementation and impact of changes. Provide support for integration with other applications, including APIs, scripts, etc. Provide internal controls information, including in some cases for SOX controls, to the compliance team. Manage vendor relations from the technical perspective; utilize the vendor and other support options to resolve issues that are beyond internal application expertise. Understand the applications’ roadmap and understand the impacts, positive or negative, of implementing changes. Understand the infrastructure architecture and how the applications interact with it. Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Data Management, Helpdesk, Security & Compliance, and Infrastructure team members to provide the best possible application delivery and support to the end user community for the assigned applications.

Required Skills, Education and/or Experience:

Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form with both non-technical users and with technical IT functions and Vendor support. Ability to evaluate issues and drive to the most appropriate resolution. Ability to manage multiple tasks under direct supervision. Ability to learn applications from both a technical support and users’ viewpoint. Two years’ experience providing direct support to end users of technical applications - help desk or other, or a two-year college degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills, Education and/or Experience: Experience with Enablon, Pioneer, Aries, Petra, Merrick, and WellView or with applications with similar functions.
