Job requirements:
1. Expert in networking routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS (PIP), and vConnect.
2. Most important is the understanding of FW rules structure, rules nesting and TCP and UDP application ports
3. Understanding of the web, application and DB associated sessions and protocols
4. Needs to understand the importance of operations discipline and processes
5. Ability to work with multiple teams including security, development and be open to different ideas.
6. Perform root cause analysis and problem resolutions, provide recommendations, build consensus and execute solutions.
7. Recommend appropriate course of action to network infrastructure engineers, NOC, outsources and IT management on technical and operations issues.
8. Strong problem management skills, including the ability to identify and asses the risks
Preferred skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines and 7 to 10 years of experience in related areas.
It will be a positive to have networking or security certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.
Job Role:
Reviewing the firewall rules, optimizing/clean-up of rules based on a defined criteria and helping client with the firewall upgrade.
Collaborate with client Tech Ops team and application support personnel.
