Certified AWS Cloud Solution Architect
St Louis, MO
3 Months Contract-to-Hire
AWS Cloud Certification required.
Must be a US Citizen.

Job Responsibilities
The AWS architect will Solution secure and cost effective AWS based solutions to customer requirements
Work with customer’s IT, Engineering, DevOps and Security teams in identifying and prioritizing business and technical requirements
Discuss options with customer taking into account business needs, security, cost, and operational requirements
Key role as Managed Public Cloud champion. Become a public cloud evangelist at customer, and identify opportunities for customer. Secure long term partner role.
Align proposed solutions with public and private cloud offerings, and where needed identify alternative solutions to fill gaps
Work with internal customer teams to sell the benefits of working with the customer, including use-cases and deployment strategy of MPC
Lead architect in the Governance and steering of the AWS public cloud at customer
Develop Deployment and Support Strategy, including that of customer’s deployment strategy (e.g. approval process, …)
Work on site embedded within key customer teams
Bridge gaps where needed (e.g. set up OS management process, manually import or create cloud formations, …)
Identify opportunities and launch projects/initiatives to address (e.g. federate AWS with enterprise AD, …)
Create credibility and accelerate adoption of Managed Public Cloud
Drive cost reduction/efficiency initiatives (e.g. change EC2 from on-demand to spot instances)
Support the Global MPC team in providing customer requirements and input to roadmap priorities
Support Sales initiatives with multiple customers within North America

Job Experience / Qualification
At least 3-5+ years hands-on experience with AWS Certified Solution Architect at a Professional Level
Important plus: DevOps, SysOps, Security, Networking certifications Experience in architecting, deploying and managing cost-effective and secure AWS environments, across multi-zones and regions, leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, …
Deployment for DevOps, Test and Production environments
Strong experience with security requirements and deployments, including the use of encryption, key-pairs, MFA, …
Database solutions EC2 on-demand, spot and reserved high-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions Storage and network solutions
Cloud Formations Automation including the use of Json, Java, Python or other supported programming language
Managed Services for AWS (e.g. Monitoring, AV, reporting, ITSM, …)
Experience in identifying cost saving opportunities for customers

This role is typically engaged as the highest-level technology expert on a project team. Partners with business analysts, systems analysts and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews. Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives. Works with enterprise architecture, application and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the project. Develops enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms. Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve business problems. Viewed as a technical expert and critical resource across multiple disciplines. Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of experience in multiple IT areas and at least 3-5 years of relevant architecture and project management experience. Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering and integration.
