Purpose and scope:
The Catalog / Content Enablement Lead is responsible for defining catalog strategy and administration and maintenance of the content for all sourcing categories and suppliers managed by Global Procurement. The catalogs will be established in the SAP Ariba P2P solution provided in a cloud / off-premise environment (SaaS), including setting up electronic supplier catalogs (internal / hosted (CIF catalogs) and external (Punch-out catalogs) to automate the ordering and invoicing process. This person will also lead and manage activities focused on enabling preferred Suppliers within Procure to Order (Ariba P2O) system and work directly with Category Managers to ensured use of a preferred supplier with preferred pricing.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure catalog strategy is in alignment with respective category strategy to manage supply base (preferred suppliers with preferred pricing Work with Category Mangers to develop enablement strategy with wave approach for targeted suppliers.
- Act as a change agent and single point of contact for category managers/buyers and suppliers to understand the catalog content management process; communicate catalog strategy to internal business stakeholders to gain buy-in and support.
- Drive content deployment for e-catalogs and maintenance of content as well as management of content staging processes (includes collection, preparation, review, approval and publishing)
- Responsible for administration / maintenance of catalogs for all categories and applicable suppliers.
- Alignment and coordination with suppliers regarding catalog content and ongoing content maintenance; educate and communicate suppliers with catalog enablement process, requirements, timelines and readiness
- Develop and implement appropriate catalog strategies, encompassing all categories of spend and based on best practices and industry knowledge
- Act in the role of subject matter expert and provide guidance and direction with regard to SAP Ariba transaction processing, such as Punch-out catalogs, Internal CIF (Catalog Interchange Format) or Non-Catalog purchase orders; understand and convey the differences and benefits of each to stakeholders
- Provide SME support to P2P team in defining KPI’s related to catalog strategy; take ownership of KPI tracking and communicate trending outlook related to contract compliance
- Act as primary conduit for P2P catalog enablement linked to the Global Supplier Maintenance Team.

- May be responsible for the direct supervision of various levels within Procurement (a catalog enablement team

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable

Experience and required skills:
- 6 – 8 years related experience; A thorough “hands-on”, working knowledge of SAP Ariba’s P2P module with supplier and catalog enablement processes, is critical
- 3+ years supervisory or project/program management experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency with transactional purchasing systems catalogs and formats (Catalog Interchange Format ‘CIF’ and Punch-out
- Broad knowledge of spend management strategies and/or procurement, category management and supplier information management
- Experience in electronic catalog enablement for procurement/supply chain systems
- Experience with SAP Ariba P2P Procurement On-Demand is desired
- Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions
- Results driven; excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand business process and communicate to technical resources
- Degree/experience in computer science, data analytics, and/or operations/information management is a plus
- Experience with SAP ERP is a plus
