Job Description :
Consult with the leadership on strategy and requirements.
Collaborate with Build/CM Teams in supporting CI/CD processes supported by the platform.
Monitor and maintain the health of the overall TFS platform and associated dependencies where applicable such as SSRS/SSAS and SQL.
Ensure TFS environments are leveraging security configuration correctly. Proactively govern security and enforce policies.
Architect and design TFS Server farm(s) with appropriate server roles to support development initiatives across the platform life-cycle.
Perform and document installation and configuration of the platforms. Coordinate support for hardware, OS, Networking and databases where applicable.
Support advanced troubleshooting of Build issues.
Tier 3 support on resolving TFS platform and application functionality and customization issues taking into considering infrastructure dependencies. (includes on-call after hours)
All the above applies to VSTS private agent VMs and any features of VSTS which require similar oversight and engineering support.
Implement automated processes to support streamlining of engineering/administrative duties using PowerShell against TFS/VSTS APIs.
Required Skills:
Advanced knowledge of TFS architecture, engineering and administration of all related components
Advanced knowledge of TFS development and customization concepts (process templates, work item customization, custom reports and dashboards)
Advanced understanding of TFS 2015+/VSTS Build, Test, Release tasks and the CI/CD pipeline.
Advanced Scripting capabilities in: PowerShell, SQL, TFS APIs
Intermediate skills with XML, JSON, REST OData
Working knowledge of the. Net framework and supporting technologies.
Working knowledge and interaction with Windows Server administration and Active Directory (2012+)
Working knowledge and interaction of SQL Server administration (SQL Server 2012+)
Working knowledge and interaction SQL Server Reports Services and Analysis Services (2012)
Working knowledge and interaction of IIS administration (V 7+)
Intermediate understanding of Network administration, Load Balancing, Firewall rules, etc.
