Job Description :
Experience Level - 8 +Years
This role is within the Asset Management Global Technology team and will interact directly with the various business groups globally, e.g. Global Client Group, Trading, Risk, Compliance and Finance.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for delivering the technology projects with focus on the AM Strategic projects and changes driven by upcoming regulatory milestones. The successful candidate will also drive various Business led initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and adding value to the business.

Qualifications / Skills:
Minimum 5 years Business Analysis experience.

Asset Management Domain Knowledge:
5+ years’ experience working within Asset Management business
Strong understanding of trading and portfolio management and compliance and risk management workflows
Candidate supporting Trading and Portfolio Management must have experience in Research and Portfolio Construction, Order Entry, Execution, Settlement and Clearing workflows
Candidate supporting Compliance must have experience implementing specific regulations such as CCAR Liquidity (mandatory), Dodd Frank, MIFID, and Investment Company Act.
Detailed understanding of asset classes (Fixed Income and/or Equities) and associated financial instruments in cash and derivatives.

Technical Skills:
3+ years expertise (or Functional Knowledge) in Blackrock Aladdin Trade Order Management System functionality and related business processes
Highly competent with SQL, XML.
Must possess strong data analysis skills and attention to details.
Data / Technical architecture experience
Ability to work with large data sets, process flows and reporting flows ? Advance skills in MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access, Visio)
Working knowledge with Eagle PACE and QlikView applications
Knowledge of various investment management industry software/platforms preferred (Bloomberg, BARRA, Barclays POINT)
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

Soft Skills:
Ability to partner with various front / middle office teams and development teams to achieve objectives and execute or drive project plan as required
Demonstrated success with typical Business Analyst deliverables: business requirements, functional specifications, system/workflow diagrams, functional test plans documentation and execution.
Inquisitive nature and able to ask pertinent questions that tease out issues and drive the analysis forward
Ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
Ability to pick up new product and technical knowledge quickly
Ability to quickly learn new and complex processes
Self-starter, able to set own targets and timelines and manage delivery expectations with users
Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal)
Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance
CFA highly preferred

Roles and Responsibilities:
Work with front office / middle office teams to define upcoming business challenges and determining required technology solutions
Development and maintenance of standard project artifacts including business requirements documents, test cases and project plans
Work with onshore, offshore and third party IT developers to translate business requirements into functional specifications
Analyze large data sets, process flows and reporting flows
Analyze and document current state systems flows and processes to bring transparency to the complexity and interdependence between systems and data
Work with development teams and architects to design and implement technology solutions with a high level of quality, flexibility and scalability
Perform system integration testing
Coordinate end user testing and plan rollout
Work with the business to establish priorities & provide regular status updates
Perform root cause analysis on production issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and preventive actions
