Job Description :
Mandatory Skills:
5 years (minimum) hands-on programming/analysis experience in a Banner/Ellucian Higher Education environment

Roles and Responsibilities:
Duties include the support of Banner ERP & Banner modules including but not limited to Banner student, HR, Financial Aid, Payroll, Finance, Admissions, Advancement, Workflow and ODS, the development and support of local applications and interfaces between existing systems, the integration of disparate systems, the installation and support of application layer and middleware products, and ongoing monitoring of web, application and middleware systems and interfaces.
Assist with the development and maintenance of live and historical data interfaces from Banner
Responsible for testing and validating all development work.
Document the resolution steps and prepare SOP documents as part of issue resolution or enhancements / customizations
Participate in creation of both technical and user manuals for new and existing applications.
Implements solutions that support a diverse set of complex business processes across multiple administrative units.
Works closely with functional staff to understand their business and their business needs.
Provide user support for multiple applications.

Skills:
5 years (minimum) hands-on programming/analysis experience in a Banner/Ellucian Higher Education environment (Recruitment/Admissions, Student Records/Registration, HR, Financial Aid, Tuition/AR, Portal(Faculty/Student), Degree Works, Workflow, ODS),
Strong Oracle Programming skills (SQL, PL/SQL), SQL loader, Oracle Forms/Reports, Banner Job Submission, and TOAD or SQL Developer.
Have hands on experience in working with Automic (formerly UC4/Appworx), Cognos reporting tools, Banner Workflow/Events, and possess knowledge of general web application development using .Net, Java or related technologies.
Possesses expert knowledge in the Banner architecture both at the application and database level, using Ellucian''s Banner ERP v8.
Knowledge and skill in Ellucian Banner, Unix and Oracle database architecture, and SQL and Oracle applications development tools.
Knowledge of relational database design normalization, optimization, etc. Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Demonstrated information systems experience required in a Higher Education environment, to include proven experience supporting and resolving day to day operation issues

Other requirements:
Must be a strong communicator with both technical and non-technical team members and able to explain technical terms and concepts using everyday language and examples.
Must be able to work independently and prioritize multiple complex and varied projects simultaneously.
Ability to create and maintain detailed testing plans and associated scripts.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations.
Ability to conduct proactive research into administrative system issues and products as deemed necessary.
Work effectively in a collaborative environment involving remote teams to resolve issues and share knowledge for quicker issue resolution
Candidate has to work from client location 5 days a week except client holidays. Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Requires off- hours (best effort) troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems for Banner systems and Oracle
