Scope of Work:
Research and develop new technology in computer vision, perception for semi-autonomous and autonomous machines
Create test cases against requirements, run tests and report on the results for features such as personnel detect, object detection, tracking, classification, terrain mapping, localization and others
Develop software tools and scripts to aid in perception software test execution and reporting
Create test scenarios around the machines at Pittsburgh Automation Center and operate equipment to run the tests
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer vision, Robotics, Mathematics or related field
Minimum 2 year experience in testing computer vision, perception systems, or testing for autonomous systems
Worked with software testing in these languages/environments: C++, Python, Matlab Windows, and Linux OS
Prefer experience developing and/or testing SW for autonomous systems
Experience in testing field robotics
Demonstrated working experience on a team
Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment (Doesn’t need prior training, we will train)
Travel up to 10% to proving grounds, customer sites
Desired Qualifications:
Any prior machine operation experience (construction equipment, farm tractor etc)
