Min 5 year of exp
Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer to work under the minimal direction of an Alcon Lead Engineer
Pro Engineer / Creo CAD expert (no exception can be made here)
Experienced in creating 2D component drawings from existing 3D assemblies
Ability to do tolerance stack-ups for multiple component assemblies
Ability to interface with plastic injection molding engineers to design for manufacturing
Good understanding of Cp, CpK measures etc.
Recognizing “undercuts”, and non-uniform wall sections etc. in CAD models
Accepting some interference fits and managing them in the tolerance

Skills:
Preference is for a senior engineer with at least 5 years experience at that level in the medical device industry, with same minimum experience in compliance to global industry regulations.
The specific engineering discipline to be mechanical
Excellent written and oral English communication and interpersonal skills are expected for complete, efficient, and timely communications with fellow team members and Alcon management.
Proficiency with MicroSoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point applications is required, with any experience in Sharepoint and PTC Windchill a plus.
Candidates experienced in design, development, and/or testing of Class II or III surgical, orthopedic, implantable prosthetic, medical devices within an regimented quality system would be given specific consideration.
