Instruct, direct, and check the work of other design engineers
Translate product requirements into implementable architectures
Conduct design analysis on electrical circuit assets to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are maintainable, customer focused and reliable
Perform detailed electronic design of microprocessor/microcontroller based platforms and related analog/digital circuits utilizing common peripherals including, ADC, DAC, USB, Audio, Video, Cameras, Touchscreens, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Flash Memory, DRAM, CAN, SPI, UART, etc This will include drawing of circuits themselves after basic analysis and paper design activity using a schematic CAD tool along with simulation.
Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, customer focused, and reliable
Prepare technical data such as design verification test results, written rework instructions, PCB placement and routing guidelines and similar technical instruction documents
Maintain organized history of design artifacts utilizing a version control system and/or like tools
Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
Communicate with other engineers and supervising project managers to coordinate and assure project completion
Mentor other engineers as they work through day-to-day technical challenges
Assist in preparing proposal documentation and integrate into customer specifications
Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
5+ years’ experience in product design
Experience with embedded systems and microprocessor/microcontroller (16 -32 bit) based design
Experience with 12 bit ADC/DAC based design.
Experience with the power supply design for 10-18W
Experience with Obsolescence management
Experience with tools such as Cadence Alegro 16.6
Experience in designing to meet required EMI/EMC Standards
Experience with functional aspects of product design including: requirements understanding, general electrical design analysis and documentation creation, design for manufacturing/design for test, and design verification
Experience working in teams including engineers from multiple engineering disciplines
Experience in medical device design or other regulated industries preferred
Experience with MS Office products including MS Project
Ability to work with both internal and external (customer) resources
Ability to analyze customer requirements for feasibility, cost and development timeline
Strong communication skills including the ability to write technical specifications and design documentation, create and author templates for engineering documents, create project proposals with technical details, present verbally in one-on-one or group settings
Able to work in a fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities to ensure superior customer satisfaction
