Min 3+ year of exp
Primary responsibility is for the investigation, diagnosis, and reporting of units returned from the field for technical reasons in order to provide solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Additionally, responsible for developing and integrating electronic engineering technologies with embedded software / windows system designs into new and existing electro-mechanical products for complex surgical devices from concept research through a qualified production launch.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of product field returns.
Designs, analyzes and tests low-power, battery operated, wireless-enabled medical devices.
Supports cost reduction and continuous improvement of products.

Primary Skill:
Experience in analog, digital and embedded / Windows development software design and product development
Proficiency with electrical design software tools (Orcad schematic capture and PCB layout)
Design state of the art high density electronic subsystems for new and existing products.
Develop board layouts and creates schematics and drawings.
Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and circuit card assembly processes.
Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
Ability to write engineering documents, test protocols, laboratory notebook entries and reports.
Experience with Signal Conditioning, Active Filters, Electrical Isolation, and Power Supply design.
Experience in the design of motion control devices and/or motor interface electronics
Demonstrates ability to develop, debug, test and document application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical controls.
Demonstrates ability to test, analyze, and solve technical problems
Translate requirements into straightforward electrical specifications and rudimentary designs.
Understanding of test protocol structure and requirements. Can develop test protocols and execute them. Basic understanding of DFSS techniques. Contributes and participates in design reviews.
Support the design, development and selection of manufacturing and test equipment.
Understand key statistical concepts. Being able to apply key concepts in data analyses.
Coordinate efforts with Quality Assurance to document and support regulatory requirements & filings.
Works with Manufacturing Engineering to plan and execute Design for Manufacturability and Design for Testability for all electronic subassemblies.
Writes in a constructive and professional manner. Uses the appropriate format for the message.
Prioritizes and manages own work to ensure the timely achievement of assigned deliverables.
Writes engineering test protocols and reports for component parts and integrated systems.
