Position Summary:
On-site support is necessary to support the below functions and ensure that tasks are completed on-time and to the fullest extent possible.
Interaction with the entire Jacksonville team drives task completion.
Essential Functions:
Construct 2D and 3D component, sub-assembly, and assembly drawings from sketches or red-lined prints using SolidWorks
Correct or revise drawings by incorporating specific drawing changes, Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s), checkers notations, or related information
Make revisions including dimensioning and scaling
Update ERP system (SAP) information as it relates to the drawing revisions and release
Understand and use ASME Y14.5 GD&T, Engineering Drafting Standards and Document Control practices appropriately
Create and modify bills of material (BOMs) and enter into the ERP (SAP) system
Communicate with senior designers, drafting supervisors, and project engineers to resolve design questions
Requisition contractors (in this case, QTY 1 reporting to Aamir), focus on SAP work: running VC, understand spec sheets, etc. Refer to the requirements from the Houston location.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in drafting or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years experience in drafting and design
Desired Qualifications:
Machining/Manufacturing experience is desirable
