Job Description:
Experience on IBM Mainframes in the areas of application development and maintenance using COBOL, VSAM, JCL & DB2.
Good DB2 knowledge is highest on priority. Should be able to write complex SQLs independent.
Exposure to the full cycle of software development including Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Unit testing, System Testing, Integrated Testing and Maintenance.
Sound analytical, problem solving & debugging skills with a good exposure to the providing production fixes.
Good user communication ability.
Worked with the onsite – offshore model.
Health care payer industry working knowledge will be a plus.
Technical Expertise:
Programming Languages: COBOL, JCL, SQL, and CICS.
Databases DB2, VSAM.
Operating Systems MVS.
Utilities ISPF, FILE-AID, GTB, SYNCSORT, INTERTEST, Endeavor.
Special skills – Provide Technical guidance, Client interaction, Requirements analysis.
