Requirement Detail/Qualification:

SUMMARY
Responsible to manage a set of Strategic Suppliers and Smaller vendors. Accountable for all activities and results related to product purchase pricing, product cost reduction, contractual terms with those same vendors, management of vendor relationships including vendor selection and vendor performance in line with FFNA sourcing requirements and the vendor’s strategy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to;
Supplier Management: Manages the Strategic relationships at all levels within the companies from the dedicated Account Executive and Product Manager to CFO and VP of Sales.
Establishes commercial framework through contracts for all relationships to ensure FFNA competitive advantage while minimizing commercial risk by negotiating consistent terms and conditions with all key vendors
Lead the purchasing efforts of FFNA in the individually defined product arena.
Analyzes market conditions within US and worldwide on material cost benchmark as well as product availability for his commodities.
Approves and monitors all commercial claims established by vendor against FFNA or that FFNA has put forward to any vendor.
Buying / Expediting - act as first point of escalation for the Buyers related to vendors.
Bid Support: Provides Special Bid Pricing for vendor in light of specific large customer rollout.
Promotes professional standards of operations within the function, utilizing the purchasing guidelines on business ethics and effectiveness. Acts as a coach to the buyers maintaining tactical vendor relationships.
Develops and maintains efficient reporting programs, assess cost savings and vendor performance measures to fit with the FFNA business plan
Proactively develop and implement strategic supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation.
Meet with suppliers to establish and maintain relationships, negotiate pricing and contracts.
Work directly with internal departments to facilitate material sourcing and planning.
Perform supplier assessments/audits to determine supplier capabilities.
Identify supplier improvement and risk mitigation opportunities and manage these activities.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance of Arena and ERP system and Vendor Performance.
Work with R&D team on new product introduction and product demise process as well as support of new regulatory requirements through the supply chain(ROHS requirements)
Adhere to company policies, ISO requirements, 5S, safety, and quality workmanship
Support continual improvement efforts
Customarily and regularly exercises independent discretion and judgment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Mentors/Supervises Buyers within the Purchasing Department. Responsibilities include coaching individuals, advising, ensuring employee is fulfilling his duties timely and professionally, provides training, assigning, and directing work; dealing with escalations for issues before reviewing with Purchasing Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A from four-year College or university and 10+ years of direct experience in supplier relations/supply chain management required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
APICS “Certified in Production and Inventory Management” (CPIM) and/or “Certified Supply Chain Professional” (CSCP) highly desired.
