GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Business Technical Advisor serves as the primary consultative contact for a group of managed services clients assigned to a territory. In this role, the BTA''s primary function is to maximize the overall satisfaction of the client, while also maximizing the client''s value to EDTS. This will be accomplished by several key objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a close professional and personal relationship with clients assigned to your territory
Acquire a thorough understanding of your clients'' IT environment with regard to business impact, critical systems, and operational productivity
Document and maintain records on clients'' IT action items and priorities
Present recommendations to clients in an organized and proactive manner
Deliver proposals/quotes and explain how EDTS'' recommended solutions can effectively solve clients'' business challenges
Work closely with network administrators and lead engineers to develop plans for standardizing client IT environments, and focusing on other key IT initiatives
Work with sales engineering and sales support to develop quotes and solutions
Collaborate with the support and engineering team to develop an awareness of client support issues and service requirements
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain daily records in ConnectWise using Activities, Opportunities, Tickets, and Time Records
Update ConnectWise Opportunities daily
Attend weekly meetings to review progress and next steps for key opportunities with Manager
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the features and benefits of EDTS'' products and services
Develop well-rehearsed talking points on key aspects of EDTS'' business, solutions, and differentiators
Continually develop an educational and consultative approach to recommending IT solutions
Keep up-to date on industry related news and technology trends
Engage in technical sales training to further understand the specifics of EDTS'' chosen technologies Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required: To perform

Successful customer service and/or sales experience
Associate''s Degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience and training is strongly preferred
Ability to easily establish and maintain rapport with individuals

Successful sales and/or Business to Business experience
Associate''s Degree or 4+ years equivalent work experience and training is strongly preferred
Ability to easily establish and maintain rapport with individuals
Driven and focused on obtaining results "No excuses" attitude
Technical awareness - Ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment with little to no supervision
Excellent grammar and writing skills with experience in preparing written communications
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain things simply and clearly
Typing skills for quick and accurate data entry of information
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Possess a basic knowledge of small to mid-size business IT environment
