Job Description :
The Business Systems Analyst, Document Management (BSA, DM) is responsible for all aspects of the design, implementation, deployment and support of Enterprise Document Management Solution (OpenText) for Chamberlain. The BSA, DM will engage business stakeholders to define business requirements; design, develop, and implement solutions that meet business needs; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement those solutions and provide production support including analyzing and resolving problems and end user service requests. Actively collaborates with the BPO / Super User community to create and maintain prioritized list of projects and service requests.
The role requires building and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders; development of a thorough understanding of the business strategies, skills in business process design and improvements; project management and deep functional/technical expertise within the SAP and OpenText environment. The role will interface with multiple departments and multiple locations throughout USA, Mexico and Canada.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience with OpenText ECM, xECM, ArchiveServer, ContentServer and OpenText capture center with at least one full life cycle implementation of Extended ECM
Minimum 3 years SAP ECC work experience required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting and delivering projects through a project life-cycle methodology required.
Minimum 5 years analytical and business requirements gathering experience on information technology team required.
Must be proficient with SAP ECC functionality and basic Basis administration.
Essential Functions:
Supports Open Text by coordinating with technical and functional resources to:
a. Create and maintain a list of prioritized project and enhancement requests that meet business needs and aligns with IT Strategic plans and architectures.
b. Create deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation.
c. Configure, develop, and test applications to meet designs.
d. Facilitate resolution of platform and application issues.
e. Collaborate with Business Process Owners/Super Users on training, change management and communications.
f. Create documentation and training materials; Deliver training.
g. Manage resources and efforts to deliver according to project schedules; be accountable for project deliverables.
h. Apply project management standards and concepts; prepare work estimates and work schedules; update project plans; manage issues and risks.
Maintains highly available, responsive and managed OpenText environment thru
a. Perform installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and tuning of Document Management application systems and servers, associated components, and third party integration products (OpenText Content Manager, OpenText ECM, Capture Center, etc
b. Identify, capture, analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner.
c. Resolve end user service requests.
d. Thorough analysis of performance and user access issues.
e. Provide Tier 2 help desk support; answering trouble-calls on document management applications and troubleshooting end user issues. Escalate to tier 3 support including CGI infrastructure, BASIS, OpenText Support and other 3rd party service providers as needed.
f. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for Document Management configuration and routine maintenance tasks
g. Work with Information Security Administrators, DBA’s, Systems Administrators, and Application Developers to ensure policies and procedures compliance.
h. Maintain Disaster Recovery procedures and participate in Disaster Recovery testing. Work with various teams and vendors across IT to ensure continuity of services.
i. Plan for and perform software upgrades and patching of applications under responsibility
j. Provide extended hours support as required for system changes/upgrades as well as afterhours support
