Business Systems Analyst

Client: HCL / LA Care

Strategic Project: Total Provider Management

Onsite Requirement: 5 days per week

Visa – GC/Citizen

Primary Responsibilities:

This position manages the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification and verification of multiple levels of requirements from an end-to-end perspective and supports the ongoing management of the requirements. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Lead and facilitate IT and business user meetings to gather requirements, rules and process information

· The Business Analyst will facilitate business process improvement via the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of functional business specifications/requirements documents and Use Cases for Agile development teams.

· Consult with cross-functional IT and business partners to understand and assess business processes; Lead the documenting of current and future state business processes.

· Actively participate in optimizing and streamline business process and technology solutions.

· Document the flow of information through our systems.

· Development Business Requirements Documents and Use Cases and drive to approval by stakeholders

· Perform required data mapping of/from source systems to Canonical form.

· Active participant in facilitating identification and documenting operational costs of processes

· Active participant in facilitating identification and documenting Organizational Change Management scope, communications and training materials

· Active participant in defining material for end user and stakeholder training materials/education, and procedures when required.

· Responsible for identifying and documenting traceability of requirements and data to associated Policy, Procedures, and Regulations.

· Partner with workstream Business Owners and Product Owners to support user acceptance test planning and execution.

Required Qualifications

· 4-year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.

· 7-10+ years acting as a business systems analyst

· Experience in the Health Care and/or insurance industry is required.

· Significant experience with data analysis is required.

· Strong working knowledge of MS Office is a requirement.

· Strong technical skills in analyzing functional business processes, process modeling, business modeling tools, developing system solutions and documentation standards.

· Strong written and verbal collaboration skills are required.

· Strong customer service skills and ability to follow through to resolve issues.

· Ability to understand client expectations and recognize and resolve issues that may affect delivery.

· Experience with Agile development and SCRUM framework is desired

· Must be willing to work in the downtown Los Angeles California area
