Position: Business Systems Administrator
Location: Vernon hills, IL
Employment Type: Full time with Aspire systems



Role Overview
The Business Systems Administrator maintains the computing environment for a software system by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Provide software Application and Web Server support of PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
Secures software system by developing and executing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures.
Participates in planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures
Participate in the gathering of system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
Participate in the evaluation of packaged software products and upgrades.
Participate in the analysis and resolution of business needs related to packaged software.
Provide information on monitored performance, major issues, proactive maintenance/repairs needed, etc.

Responsibilities
Work with developers, the infrastructure team, the IT Service Desk, and/or coworkers as necessary to resolve open issues or research performance problems.
Communicate with all stakeholders when problems with major systems exist and follow-up once resolved.
Document processes and procedures.
Work evening and weekend hours when necessary for installations, implementations, and upgrades.
Login capability from home to respond to any system-related problem(s

Other Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of 3rd party software packages, PC hardware and software.
Solid comprehension of networking and connectivity methodologies as they relate to hardware and software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including senior leadership.
Demonstrated process documentation ability.
