"Seeking Reporting Lead" Infor/Lawson LBI Reporting Tools & Crystal Reports
Support core functions of SERP applications to enable cost-effective, high
quality, efficient and safe patient care, drawing on a thorough
understanding of managing business and financial operations within a
healthcare environment. Implement, administer, and support assigned systems
under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team. Independently
address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with
little or no supervision. Deliver clear communication and documentation of
complex concepts and issues related to applications, reports, data
structures, and workflows across the organization This position will have
a strong understanding of analytics and report writing tools such as
Crystal reports and database query tools

Essential Functions

Provide second tier support of application incidents reported through the
help desk, including 24/7 on call coverage as required.
Provide analytical assistance to junior team members to resolve
application incidents, maintenance items, and enhancement requests.
Coordinate application support with other information technology teams
including infrastructure, integration, reporting, and the help desk.
Perform daily monitoring of production applications in use.
Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with
department policies and procedures.
Assist senior team members in developing and maintaining
requirements/specifications and test cases for new, enhanced and existing
functionality of supported applications.
Clearly communicate technical concepts in business terms between and
across different groups while influencing outcomes.
Lead small to medium complexity software upgrade initiatives or
enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases
Maintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives that include
technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort,
accountability, and deliverables. Continually identify opportunities for
functional and stability improvement in applications.
Identify system optimization and enhancements and collaborate with
vendors and other ITS analysts in order to design and implement effective
Anticipate and resolve system problems. Research issues and use
independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options (including
alternative solutions when necessary to address system limitations) to
complex and/or controversial matters, including pros, cons, risks,
benefits, costs, and unidentified consequences.
Participate in and frequently lead team and cross-team meetings and
maintain appropriate meeting records.
Understand and adhere to operational standards, policies and procedures.
Handle confrontation with grace, professionalism, cordiality, and firmness.
Manage and resolve disputes appropriately.
Stay abreast of new technologies in relevant area.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with C-I-CARE
Standards of the Hospital and Joint Commission Requirements.
* Preferred 3 or more years of progressively responsible and directly
related work experience

* Minimum two years of experience in analysis and data management*
* Experience in data extraction, relational database, and other business
intelligence tools*

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of relational database structures and table relations
Ability to build complex queries from relational databases
Ability to read data models
* Strong quantitative and analytic skills
Strong technical skills including: Crystal Reports, MS Access, Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, SQL/VBA querying*
Technical Skills to develop and maintain SQL scripts using MS SQL Server
or Oracle RDBMS/PLSQL*
* Ability to develop and comply with software version control, test
execution, and release management processes
* Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively to address problems
* Ability to write and present reports and presentations
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and interpret results
Ability to communicate concepts in elegant, concise, eloquent form to
management and to cross-functional departments or teams verbally, in
writing, and through pictures or diagrams when appropriate
* Knowledge of Lawson ERP software as well as other information systems
and computer applications used in a health care setting*
