Job Description
This position will be a part of the HRIS Implementation, specifically managing the reporting functionality from the current financial system CORE. CORE is a vendor solution from CGI and the reporting functionality is vendor specific – InfoAdvantage. This position administers, maintains and trouble shoots the infoAdvantage reporting system.
Determine the updates needed to infoAdvantage administration procedures to address revised business processes and feedback from users.
Determine how best to configure a statewide and agency reports from HRIS data to meet the needs of each payroll department as well as Central Payroll.
Collaborate with each agency payroll department to determine whether to develop a statewide report or a department report. Departments will request access to use and design reports; this position will need to implement guidelines for separation of duties in regards to report access.
Create and work with a user group to support the creation and testing of new reports, maximize the usability of report formations, and implement processes to avoid duplication of similar reports. As a result of these efforts, this position will recommend the creation, joining, or modification to the reporting universes contained in the reporting tool.
Responsible for policies and procedures related to infoAdvantage reporting and to communicate the activities of the user group to management, as necessary.
Develop statewide, departmental and internal payroll infoAdvantage reports for statewide reconciliation and reporting purposes.
Determine what reporting universe will meet user needs, what elements should be used in the report, and at what level of detail to include in the report.
Determine report development and modifications based on statewide payroll user requests. Departments have various CPPS (current payroll solution) reports and this position will work with CGI to determine the best means for capturing and utilizing the more complex functionality contained within the reporting tool while meeting user needs for these reports.
The CGI InfoAdvantage solution utilizes the Business Objects software for reporting. Candidates with Business Objects / Reports experience are preferred.
