Description:
A business objects administrator to support the domestic and international business objects platforms.
The data and analytics organization operates in a fast paced, dynamic environment where service excellence is highly encouraged.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and experience working in a team environment.
Additionally, the candidate should possess good communication skills to effectively communicate with our developers and end users.
The position will be responsible for day-today administration of production and non-production environment along with any upgrades, compliance and enhancements needed.
Responsibilities includes: server configuration and management, upgrade planning and installment, database connectivity management, code promotion and Access management.
The candidate will demonstrate expertise with how to configure BOBJ to connect with other enterprise databases and tools.

Deliverables:
– Business Objects Enterprise product Installation/Update/Upgrade and recover the BOE environment as needed. (Such as Disaster Recovery (DR (Windows/Unix/Linux)
– Perform an End to End trace for various server workflows or client tools as needed.
– Help developers as needed by troubleshooting formulas, data correctness issues or report designs issues that impact performance.
– Work with networking infrastructures to ensure optimal BOE server communication and client connectivity.
– Service and support Apache/Tomcat architecture: Including Web tier deployment, recovery, configuration, SDK
– Troubleshoot Webi issues such as connectivity, performance as needed
– BOBJ administration using tools as well as running system queries and perform surgical modifications in the environments
Acceptance:
– Minimum 12 years’ experience with related Bachelor’s degree, 10 years with related Master’s degree.
– Thorough knowledge of BOE security concepts, hierarchy of rights, inheritance and the effects of each.
– Semantic layer knowledge, current and classic model (universe models), of different types of database abstraction concepts that’s been the cornerstone of BOE data acquisition.
– Strong knowledge of BOE auditing system to identify system usage patterns.
– Thorough knowledge of BOE authentication methods.
– Knowledge in BOE system architecture integration as in Web Tier, Processing tier and Management tier through associated system database and file store concepts.
– Ability to identify BOE architecture usage for various reporting technologies to efficiently troubleshoot and isolate components involved and react to system monitoring alerts.
– SAP BW knowledge and InfoProvider concepts for back end connectivity to support OLAP/Multi Source Relational data retrieval and required authorizations.
– Medium SDK, HTML5 and Java proficiency for writing scripts to automate certain administration tasks or to supply specific system output data supporting external requirements.
– Good communication skills to be able to gather all necessary the requirements from end users.
– Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft registry where it applies to BOBJ
– SAP BOE Administration certification is a plus.
