Business Intelligence SQL Developer / Data Analyst
Remote
6 Months plus
We are looking for a SQL developer to work in a Teradata environment.
Must be skilled at using SQL to profile data
Using scripting to create cleaned, flattened, summarized data sets, and create views for BI consumption.
The analyst in this role will work hand-in-hand with upstream data sources to learn the location and definition of various data sets, and create extracts to pull and transform the data. The analyst will work with data stewards to devise strategies for creating new data sets. The analyst will also work hand-in-hand with data scientists to prepare data for their needs, creating data sets targeted for specific analyses.
The environment is Teradata SQL, but there are also other data sources that are Oracle and SQL Server. In general, ANSI standard SQL can be used across the board. Most data sets will be created in the Teradata environment.

Requires an excellent communicator, with strong written English, and visual/graphical presentation skills
Extremely fast-paced environment, so must be assertive, self-driving, and a very quick learner
Must be able to learn about data sets through hands-on profiling
