Job Title : Business Intelligence Cognos Developer
Work Location : Redwood City, CA
Contract : Permanent Job

Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of Cognos to design, develop and maintain reporting solutions (reports and dashboards) according to requirements using Report Studio, Event Studio.
Maintain Cognos FM models (relational and DMR); ability to optimize existing FM
Ability to investigate and resolve Cognos production issues
QC/QA and UAT reports according to requirements
Communicate with Data Integration Manager on data warehouse team when needed to address any questions about the database tables or query logic
Mandatory Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field and 5-7 years’ experience in business intelligence, primarily working with Cognos BI
Proficient with SQL (experience with Teradata a plus); familiar with database design; experience working with large data sets
Advanced Cognos user
Detail oriented with ability to independently validate / triangulate data and analysis
Able to prioritize in face of multiple requests while completing deliverables on time
Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and work independently
Understanding of shipping and/or fulfillment metrics and data collection
Must be comfortable with unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment. Passion for excellence and continuous improvement
Ability to troubleshoot, track, and resolve day-to-day issues
Mandatory Functional Skills:
The Business Intelligence Developer II supports Business partners by utilizing knowledge of company data structure and experience with BI tools to provide insightful reporting solutions. This role requires an individual with strong technical and analytical skills, good communication skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who is detail oriented, enjoys problem solving, can work independently and understands the full BI reporting development process. This role will spend 100% of their time supporting Cognos reports.
