Job: Business Analyst w/Accounting of banking
Location: New York, NY

Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with Business users (part of following departments Finance, Risk, Operations , commercial front office ) to understand requirements and interpret underlying business needs
Propose logical solutions and transform them into clear business and technical requirements
Review users requests and requirements, define feasibility and qualification
Write functional specifications based on users requirements and applications design
Assist development team in their understanding of production issues and users requirements for proper remediation and implementation
Define testing strategy, tests plan and execute functional tests
Act as Project Manager where necessary to achieve successful implementations
Utilize data query tools like SQL and advanced excel features to perform data analysis, confirm data quality and investigate user queries
Track, resolve and escalate issues for own projects while keeping relevant stakeholders informed
Prepare and maintain project deliverables, including reporting and tracking statuses
Required Skills – Must Have:
Corporate and investment banking experience
Proficient in at least 2 of the following domains: Accounting of banking products , Financial Reporting (Global GL reporting, Consolidation, US regulatory reporting ), Credit Risk, Commercial baking
Good exposure to Testing methodology
Good technical background to be able to interact with developers, verify their deliverables, provide requirements clarifications
Good knowledge and understanding of information system functional architecture
Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including coordinating with geographically dispersed teams to achieve deliverables
Good organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication
