Job Summary:
The Business Analyst ensures that business needs are met by monitoring newly implemented and existing procedures.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Effectively communicates with external clients and internal teams to elicit requirements and deliver technical specifications
Identifies, analyzes and documents business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and delivers work products throughout the software development life cycle
Ensures that the recommended solution meets business need and puts FMI in a positive competitive position
Prepares plans, conducts training and oversees implementation of new and revised Systems or procedures
Monitors newly implemented and existing procedures, ascertaining quality of results and using these findings to determine improved documentation and/or training requirements or programs
Reviews test plans for accuracy and oversees execution
Conducts training sessions as necessary
Acts as an interface between business units, technology and support teams
Performs other tasks as required
Reports to the Applications Development Manager
Works closely with the Senior Business Analyst, Assistant Business Analyst and others in the IT department

Qualifications and Skills:
High School graduate
Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred (Management, Business Administration or related field) or equivalent experience
2 years as a Business Analyst or 5 years in a comparable specialized role
Knowledge of in-house automated systems, preferred
Familiarity with FMI LOB’s, preferred
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to mentor resources and provide training on systems
Ability and desire to expand knowledge and skillsets needed to perform job duties
Moderate technical skills, business intelligence and a full understanding of the needs of the customer, preferred
Ability to define processes of business both “To Be” and “As Is,” preferred
