The second role is more on MDM side of things but it’s a functional role more than technical. It’s the role who will do all the leg work required before implementing MDM.
cross-functional role who work with business to define the policies, standards, and processes for data management. The output of their efforts represent the requirements for the implementation of the MDM solution. The governance function also holds the data stewardship team accountable. The following defines the high level roles within the governance team.
Business Stakeholders – Representatives for the interests of business functions across the organization in this case Vendor master. Individuals working closely with Business relationship managers who can break down barriers and provide credence to the outputs of the governance function.
Business Analysts – Like Business Stakeholders, are individual from across business functions, who do much of the legwork for the governance function, drafting the policies, standards, and processes for review and approval by the governance organizations.
